The Historic Fort
For the most romantic wedding, lover's young and old have
found The Historic Fort to be an ideal setting in which to
exchange vows. Patterned after Sutter's Fort in Sacramento,
California, this local landmark stands as one of the few
adobe structures remaining in Kern County, and its beautiful
garden courtyards and gazebo offer and intimate outdoor
setting under the stars. This beautiful garden oasis
displays the early California atmosphere and charm of that
era, just as the authentic adobe walls showcase the unique
old world charisma of Taft's Historic Fort.
